Great news!! Pipeline Instrumental Magazine Review #73 (Spring ’07) chose “Sandstorm” as one of the three runner-ups for their Album of the Year 2006 award! (The winning CD was “Sonic Traveller” by the veteran instrumental rockers duo Shig & Buzz, and the other two runner-ups were by the long-running Spanish Euro-instro band Los Jets and the younger Spanish surf band The Long Boards.) Given that Pipeline reviewed over 200 surf and instrumental rock CDs in 2006, many of which are excellent, we consider it an honor to be near the very top of that large heap.
